HOW DO I FIND YOU?
We are currently meeting in the Sugarloaf Room of the Hampton Inn Lawrenceville Duluth as we work toward a new permanent location. Enter the hotel and walk straight past the dining area to the double doors on the left, or ask the front desk employee for directions.
How Many People Will There Be?
We typically have 40-50 people present for our Sunday morning assemblies.
What Is A Worship Service Like?
Our worship is simple, yet profound. We aim to worship God according to the pattern revealed in the New Testament, understanding that while we benefit from worshiping God, our goal is to please Him, not ourselves. We sing a capella hymns as a congregation. We partake of the Lord’s supper each week as a memorial to the death of Christ. We give money to support the work of the church (visitors are not expected to give). We pray and we listen to a sermon from the Bible.
IS THIS A NEW CONGREGATION?
Our congregation began in the 1950s and for most of its history was known as the Duluth Church of Christ. Several years ago we sold our long-time property to find something better suited to our needs. Our temporary building was in Lawrenceville on Riverside Drive, so our name was changed to Riverside Church of Christ to allow for more flexibility on our future location plans. What hasn't changed is our dedication to serving God wherever we are and commitment to sound Biblical teaching.
Are There Bible Classes?
We currently offer Bible classes Sunday morning and Wednesday evening for adults as well as children ages 2 to 7.
